The maintenance department of a factory or company is rarely limited to the maintenance of production machines. It must also ensure that safety standards are respected, that buildings are in good condition, that other production tools are working properly or that environmental standards are followed. For all these tasks, the CMMS Mobility Work represents a precious help because it allows to manage easily the services related to maintenance.
By integrating all your services to your Mobility Work network, you favour a good communication between the different departments of your company and allow them to follow in the same software environment all the actions of maintenance and upkeep of the equipments which concern them. Each department can thus manage its equipments and plan interventions on a single software.
Manage your maintenance providers in your CMMS
You have planned interventions on equipment and you want your service providers to integrate their intervention time and their intervention report in your CMMS? Thanks to the free “Service provider” profile, you can integrate service providers into your network from the Colleagues tab.
From this same tab, you can also display hourly rates if you have the Premium plan.
Your provider can enter the time spent on each activity related to the tasks you have assigned to him. He can also add an intervention report for each of these tasks. From the tasks tab, you have access to all the interventions that each external service provider has performed.
Manage new works and investment projects
By separating your maintenance expenses (budget dedicated to the maintenance of the machines) from your investments, you facilitate the work of your other departments, for example the Purchasing department, in particular to validate the investments or for billing, or to obtain financial assistance from the State.
To do this, you simply create equipment corresponding to investment projects. You can also use tags such as “investment”, “fixed asset” (to separate the cost of fixed assets), or others.
For example, you can create the equipment “Machining [machine name] – Asset – 2022” and create different tasks on it. You can then consult all the time spent for machining on this equipment, or search for all the capital assets over a fiscal year.
It is also possible to create a task linked to a piece of equipment, for example “Order Vega probe”, to facilitate the work of the purchasing department.
Manage facility management or utilities
In the Mobility Work CMMS, you can manage the maintenance of your buildings and all the equipments which are part of it. To do so, you just have to create a piece of equipment for each building, or even for each part of a building (for example the locker rooms).
You can also create related sub-equipment, for example to manage the maintenance of floors, ventilation, roofs, lighting or computer networks.
This way, you can keep track of all the work done on each building.
Quality, safety, environment and production
Concerning the quality, you can use the Mobility Work application for example to manage the follow-up of your tools or your control templates. You can follow the calibration set by your maintenance plans, using the “Calibration” tag.
The production tools
The maintenance of production tools, chassis or any other tool used by the production can be followed in your CMMS. You can thus visualize at any time which tools are undergoing interventions, in the planner tab.
All production tools can therefore be integrated into the CMMS, in order to monitor them on a daily basis: repairs, replacement, purchase, etc.
Manage security measures
You can use our CMMS application to manage everything you put in place in your plant to improve safety: reporting items as soon as necessary, tracking problems, etc. Weekly meetings concerning daily safety or “safety quarters” can thus be created as equipment and be planned thanks to the maintenance plan function. Each of these elements can also be linked to a specific building.
In addition, you can manage the maintenance of your fire system, your fire alarm systems, your emergency blocks, your intrusion alarm or any other security-related equipment.
The periodic control of these elements can thus be followed and be perfectly traceable, including when it is carried out by an external service provider (see above).
You can analyze all environment-related activities separately in our CMMS simply by creating an “Environment” tag and assigning it to all activities related to this topic, e.g. dust measurements, discharges, water systems, etc.
For example, ISO 14001 certified companies, who need to measure dust release rates, can manage the maintenance and scheduled verification of their dust probes in Mobility Work, even when they are performed by external service providers.
By encouraging all your services to use Mobility Work CMMS for these activities, you ensure that all your teams have the same information at the same time, and you guarantee an optimal traceability of all the actions carried out.
