The CEO as a leader in the ISO 27001 certification process
For Morgane Guinot, the management must be very involved in this process, in order to lead the teams towards the implementation of good practices in order to obtain the certification. This is why she took her position to heart to initiate and implement the 27001 certification project within Mobility Work.
Through this project, Morgane Guinot primarily wanted to answer the requests and the requirements of our customers in terms of security and confidentiality of their data, in particular of the many ones who consider a wider deployment of the CMMS Mobility Work solution within their company. Thanks to this certification, our customers have a guarantee of the seriousness of our teams in the implementation and the respect of good security practices.
The increasing importance of ISO 27001 certification
If the ISO 27001 certification is not yet mandatory, this standard is being increasingly integrated in the new reference systems. Indeed, companies, especially the largest ones, are very vigilant on the issue of personal and professional data security. They are therefore making more and more demands on their business partners, for example to protect themselves against ransomware attacks, which are becoming more common in other parts of the supply chain.
The particularity of the ISO 27001 standard is to treat security by risks. A certified company is a company that has shown that it considers the risks that weigh on its sensitive data and that it protects itself, both by defending its computer systems against intrusions and disasters, but also by applying good practices for a 360° security: this is what is called the ISMS, or Information Security Management System.
