Mobility Work now allows you to visualize your equipment in 3D in your CMMS application. The BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration in our application is the result of a joint partnership with RS Components, 1st horizon and Sitedesk.
Mobility Work becomes the only CMMS solution that integrates a BIM vision directly into its application, and RS Components is the only distributor to offer its customers such a wide range of solutions for maintenance through its RS iMaintenance ecosystem.

BIM and CMMS integration: the result of a unique ecosystem
The ecosystem made up of RS Components, leading B2B distributor of industrial supplies and electronic components, Mobility Work and our partners 1st horizon, provider of measurement and mapping services, and Sitedesk, specialist in 3D imaging and digital spaces, enables us to offer our customers unique functionalities.
In addition, by proposing the implementation of IoT sensors for predictive maintenance, RS Components offers the possibility to further increase the benefit of the integration of BIM with CMMS by visualizing these sensors and reducing manual readings in risky areas.
The benefits of BIM modeling
BIM, or Building Information Modeling, is a smart process based on a 3D model that allows maintenance professionals to obtain the information necessary to optimize the management of buildings, infrastructures and equipment.
Thanks to the 3D visualization offered by BIM, it becomes possible to have a complete view of the equipment, in particular the electricity, water and gas circuits, and the production tools in general.
Concrete benefits seen by BIM users include:
- securing interventions thanks to remote visualization;
- the use of IoT sensors to take readings in dangerous environments and limit the risks for technicians;
- access to technical data of equipment.
More generally, the integration of BIM into the CMMS facilitates communication between the various maintenance stakeholders and contributes to the overall improvement of the quality of production processes.
This tool helps companies address two major issues: TCO (total cost of ownership) and CSR (corporate social responsibility).
BIM and CMMS: how does it work?
To implement BIM in a company, a modeling of the building and/or equipment data is performed with information gathered from different sources.
The tool then gathers all the technical data necessary to the teams for the exploitation of the building in an ergonomic interface integrated to the Mobility Work CMMS, via the cloud, with a direct access to the data sheets corresponding to the installations.
